JMFOA

The Jaffna Medical Faculty Overseas Alumni (JMFOA) is an organization of medical professionals who have graduated from the Jaffna Medical Faculty in Sri Lanka and are currently living and practicing medicine overseas.

The organization was established in 2002 to foster a strong network of Jaffna Medical Faculty graduates worldwide, promote their professional development, and support healthcare initiatives in Sri Lanka.

JMFOA is a registered non-profit organization in the United States and has active chapters in several countries, including Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The organization's members actively organize continuing medical education events, support medical research, and provide mentorship to medical students and young doctors.

In addition to their professional work, JMFOA members also engage in charitable initiatives to support healthcare services in Sri Lanka. The organization has funded and supported several healthcare projects, including providing medical equipment to hospitals and clinics, sponsoring medical camps, and supporting scholarships for medical students.

JMFOA serves as a platform for Jaffna Medical Faculty alumni to connect, collaborate, and contribute to advancing healthcare in Sri Lanka and beyond.
