Terms and Conditions for Volunteers at JMFOA Canada

 Welcome to JMFOA Canada!
By volunteering with JMFOA Canada (including the JMFOA Foundation), you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms ensure ethical, professional, and legal compliance for all volunteer activities while fostering a collaborative and respectful working environment. Volunteers are integral to JMFOA Canada’s mission to promote community upliftment, social support, and public advocacy both in Canada and abroad.

1. Volunteer Purpose and Scope :
Volunteers are essential contributors to JMFOA Canada's mission of community engagement, education, and providing support to address social and health-related needs. Volunteer activities may include, but are not limited to, advocacy campaigns, event organization, educational content creation, research, translation services, administrative support, and other future projects consistent with JMFOA Canada’s objectives. All volunteer work must align with JMFOA Canada’s mission and vision, which focus on empowering communities, fostering inclusivity, and advancing social and educational initiatives both in Canada and abroad.

2. Eligibility and Commitment :
Volunteers must be Canadian high school, undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate students unless otherwise specified for specific roles or projects. Volunteers agree to fulfill assigned tasks with diligence, integrity, and professionalism. Meeting agreed-upon deadlines is crucial for the successful execution of JMFOA Canada’s programs. Volunteers are encouraged to engage in ongoing and future activities that align with JMFOA’s objectives to ensure the continuity of its mission.

3. Communication and Official Email Use:
  All official communication must be conducted through JMFOA-provided or designated email accounts. These email accounts must be used exclusively for JMFOA-related purposes to maintain professionalism and secure communication.

4. Social Media Access and Guidelines :
Volunteers granted access to JMFOA Canada’s social media platforms must adhere to the following guidelines: Only post content pre-approved by JMFOA’s leadership or communications team. Posts must reflect JMFOA’s mission of community engagement and advocacy and avoid personal opinions, offensive language, or unverified information. Volunteers may not use JMFOA’s platforms for controversial, political, or inflammatory statements. Social media access is a privilege, and violations of these guidelines may result in immediate termination of access and dismissal from volunteer responsibilities.

5. Use of JMFOA Logo and Branding :
The JMFOA Canada logo, name, and affiliated branding may not be used without prior explicit written approval. Approved materials must adhere to JMFOA’s branding guidelines. Alteration or misuse of logos and branding assets is strictly prohibited.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection:
  Volunteers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive data, including: Personal details of clients, volunteers, or collaborators Internal organizational documents Any suspected breach or misuse of data must be reported immediately to JMFOA leadership.

7. Compliance with Federal and Provincial Regulations:
  Volunteers must comply with Canadian federal and provincial regulations, including those concerning public communication and ethical standards in advocacy initiatives. Volunteers must act in a manner that upholds JMFOA’s reputation and mission both in Canada and abroad.

8. Conflict of Interest and Contradictory Statements:
  Volunteers must avoid public statements or actions that contradict JMFOA’s mission, principles, or objectives. Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed immediately to JMFOA leadership for review.

9. Liability and Indemnification :
JMFOA Canada is not liable for personal injury or property damage incurred during volunteer service unless otherwise specified in applicable insurance provisions. Volunteers agree to indemnify JMFOA Canada against any legal claims arising from activities performed in breach of these terms and conditions.

10. Termination of Volunteer Agreement :

JMFOA Canada reserves the right to terminate a volunteer’s involvement at any time for violations of these terms or actions deemed harmful to JMFOA’s mission and vision. Volunteers may terminate their volunteer agreement by providing written notice to JMFOA’s volunteer coordinator.

11. Future Participation and Continued Involvement:
  Volunteers are encouraged to explore additional roles, projects, and opportunities for future involvement that align with JMFOA Canada’s evolving mission and vision. JMFOA Canada supports volunteers’ personal and professional growth and encourages participation in new initiatives, training sessions, and leadership opportunities within the organization.

12. Acceptance of Terms :
By signing this agreement or submitting an online application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Your continued involvement affirms your commitment to JMFOA’s mission of community upliftment and engagement both in Canada and abroad.
